Famine 2020 is just around the corner!
If you haven't heard the Youth from Wilmington, North Andover, North Reading, Acton, South Boston and Taunton will be joining with friends to take part in this favorite annual event.

30 Hour Famine has for 20 + years been part of the life of WUMC and has worked to feed children living in extreme poverty. More than 500 kids and 30 different programs serving those in need around us have been impacted by the work and love shared by our Youth, the adult volunteers who make the program happen and the faith communities that support them.

This year we will be sharing that love in more exciting ways and again making the lives of children who are hungry better through the fundraising efforts or our participants.

Everyone may make a contribution to World Vision through any of our Youth. They even have a web page devoted to that effort. Ask them … or go to the Church's Famine page through our Church Website or this link: But is you wish to make donations to this event please make your check payable to WUMC and write Famine in the Memo line. (If you are going to donate cash please label the envelope FAMINE DONATION) and write the Youth's name on the envelope too. (We track those donations)

While you are there you can see just how World Vision is making an impact on the world through the work of our Youth

If you haven't registered yet there is still time. All are welcome to attend the 30 Hour Famine. Register on-line at But do it soon so we can be sure we have what we need for you to participate easily in all activities.

Reverend Peter Will Be Joining the Fun
