The Youth of Wilmington UMC are a vital part of the overall life of the Church. The Youth program grades 6-12 participate in a wide variety of programs. Weekly meetings include topic discussions; concerts; social gatherings; interfaith worship; fun events like visits to a trampoline park, bowling or game nights; and opportunities to make a difference in the local community and the world. All youth are welcome to participate in all events throughout the year. Additionally, special programs to accomplish specific projects gather periodically, travel opportunities like retreats, mission trips are favorites.
Fellowship and friendship extends beyond high school.
Mini-Methodists events for 4th & 5th graders are planned 3 times a year.
Young Adult Ministries (YAMs) - Post-High School young adults (and young at heart) meet on the second Thursday of the month at the Church at 7:30 pm in addition to monthly outings. They also host a monthly Bible study to watch a movie and discuss its themes.
